I’m returning to the PGCert after having to defer my place last year, so I am treating this first post as a bit of test; can I still remember how to use MyBlogs? I expect I will look back at this post in a few months and find some pleasure in the fact that my skills have (hopefully) improved somewhat. I also hope that I will be pleased that I have kept going no matter the hurdles and obstacles that I may encounter. Only time will tell!

I have lots of ideas and lots I want to explore on the course. But knowing how to map those ideas to the LOs is what I need to work on. I’m hoping that doing the PGCert will, in some ways, allow me to better understand my research and my position as a practitioner. I also hope the course might help me to better link my research to my teaching and enable me to continue to promote the values-based approach I have brought to the MA that I lead.
